DURABLE STAINLESS STEEL 44 ft FRANS Maas One-off. A sturdy, solid and durable ship with very good sailing characteristics and almost maintenance-free! Fully built from 316 L stainless steel. Perfect for the sailor who prefers sailing with a strong ship, instead of grinding and painting. The ship has been built and equipped for blue water cruising and has proven itself during a 7-year Atlantic / Caribbean journey. However, the ship is fully insulated and therefore also very suitable for colder regions.
A practical and light interior with a large deck saloon, functional galley and 3 double cabins and a spacious bathroom. Comfortable and spacious cockpit. About 50% of the cockpit is covered with a bimini. This yacht sails very easily close to the wind, even in very light wind. It has a self-tacking jib which makes tacking very easy, all you have to do is turn the wheel! For courses more off the wind there is a large reacher, for downwind sailing you can use both foresails together and for light wind there is a large spinnaker and of course a mainsail of 60 m2. The engine has a low RPM with its own cooling water system in the keel (so no seawater pump with its problems). The propeller is a large max. Prop with 3 blades for high efficiency. Fully self-sufficient with 5 solar panels and large water and diesel tanks. There are 2 large fuel tanks, totaling approximately 1200 liters, and a day fuel tank (approx. 200 liters). The entire system is equipped with many filters, so it can handle diesel of any quality. The solar panels generate enough power for all equipment including the washing machine. There is a large battery bank of 6 x 120 amp / h for the moments when there is no sun. 3 fresh water tanks (together 1200 liters) that can very easily be filled with rainwater. Of course the yacht is equipped with a range of navigation equipment, including an AIS transponder, SSB and 2 autopilots. The yacht is in perfect condition and ready to sail the blue waters!
