This Boarncruiser 1000 "Calypso" with its dark blue hull and solar tinted windows has a very chic appearance on the water. The design is practical and spacious enough for staying on board with a family for a longer period of time. The boat is built of steel and painted a very nice high gloss finish. The side decks and aft deck are fitted with low-maintenance flexi-teak in which the type name is nicely applied. The large sprayhood with fixed, fold-down windows, protects the helm position very well, both in sun and rain. The aft deck is fully covered with a solar sail and the sprayhood can be closed to the back so that even with wind and rain from behind it gives shelter. The creep beneath bridges can easily be reduced to about 2.60 so that many waterways are accessible. In the engine room, which is just as clean as the rest of the boat, the heavy 68pk Yanmar diesel is barely audible thanks to good soundproofing. From the reardeck the salon is entered via a staircase. Here is a good view around the boat and still lots of privacy thanks to the tinted glass. In the foreship is a 2nd lounge in which a bed can be made by lowering the table. The upholstery and carpeting throughout the ship was recently updated and of high quality. To port is the galley with all modern conveniences such as 4 burner cooker, fridge, freezer and microwave. In the stern is an owner's cabin on the port side with the toilet and the shower to starboard. The Boarncruiser 1000 is a beautifully classic and well thought out functional design.
