The Outborn 40 is a well built yacht and suitable for long trips at sea. The boat we offer you is well maintained, and very suitable for a longer stay on board. For example, the engine was replaced in 2003 and the underwatership recently underwent a professional treatment (2017/2018) (peeled, new epoxy, layer topcoat + antifouling). The sail drive and saildrivesleeve have recently been replaced and the teak deck was renewed in 2008.
The cockpit is well protected and the boat is easy to operate. Through the spray hood with fixed windows there is good view from the cockpit around. The boat sails remarkably dry which certainly increases comfort.
The interior is remarkably neat and spacious for a yacht of this size. Upon entry, at the right-hand there is the navigation corner iwith the necessary navigation and communication equipment. To the left of the entrance is the galley with cooker, gas oven and fridge. In the midships is the salon with long benches and table in the middle. Behind the banks are 2 sea cages in the belly of the ship. In the bow is a hand-operated toilet and in the bow a cabin with V-bed and an extra sea cage. In the stern in a spacious cabin with double bed and a bathroom with sink and electric toilet.

The ship was launched in 1986 for the first time. Recently a lot has been replaced or repaired, in 2018 the forepeak (anchor hatch) has been completely put back into the epoxy with a new partition. Last antifouling: 2018; Anodes: also around screw, were included in the maintenance regime.
