The factory of this speedcuiser named Maxum is built in Pipestone, Minnesota USA owned by Brunswick Corporation leading in several boat engine brands such as Mercury Marine, Sea Ray, Bayliner, and thus Maxum. For the most part, Maxum's hulls were the same as Bayliner's, with different decks and interiors to distinguish the brand. It was marketed as an improved version of a Bayliner that also cost more. Brunswick Corp. is the world's largest manufacturer of pleasure craft. The primary activity of Mercury Marine USA is outboard engines. Online there is a huge range of parts and companies that offer maintenance. These engines offer more horsepower than the 8-cylinder 5-litre engines. Not only a huge saving on fuel, but also in weight (50 kilos lighter) and space (80cm shorter).
