More about the Maxum Motoren 2017 2900 SE

The factory of this speedcuiser named Maxum is built in Pipestone, Minnesota USA owned by Brunswick Corporation leading in several boat engine brands such as Mercury Marine, Sea Ray, Bayliner, and thus Maxum. For the most part, Maxum's hulls were the same as Bayliner's, with different decks and interiors to distinguish the brand. It was marketed as an improved version of a Bayliner that also cost more. Brunswick Corp. is the world's largest manufacturer of pleasure craft. The primary activity of Mercury Marine USA is outboard engines. Online there is a huge range of parts and companies that offer maintenance. These engines offer more horsepower than the 8-cylinder 5-litre engines. Not only a huge saving on fuel, but also in weight (50 kilos lighter) and space (80cm shorter). The extra large carburettors provide the large extra air supply and therefore also give great power when starting. These engines are known because they are incredibly easy to maintain. All filling holes are easy to reach. With a heavy alternator, the batteries remain charged. And the shop is electric, so cold starting is no problem at all. All kinds of conveniences are incorporated in these engines such as water separating filters. MPi is an English abbreviation for 'Multipoint Injection'. A motor with MPi technology has one atomizer per cylinder. Conventional engines have only one atomizer for all cylinders. An MPi engine has one injector per cylinder which injects fuel continuously or with interruptions. More rest and more controlled power. Now I always look for the name of the designer but this kind of boats are designed in team context. These professionals were now working at Brunswick USA. Their motto already had to do with lifestyle and wanted pure enjoyment of the boat and as little maintenance as possible. But also the shapes of this model are not only cleverly conceived but timeless. Note this ship has a CE with catogory B.!! In this Maxum, the mattress mid-ships are replaced by an extra luxurious and thicker (Van Tempura) The bathing platform and cockpit are fully covered with Flexiteek. A remote-controlled floodlight that can rotate all the way around is also in place. All 9 windows have new mosquito nets. The Nespresso coffee machine is new and all ordinary spotlights have been replaced by LED lighting. There is also built-in LED lighting around the cockpit 10 cm above the ground. There is a Grill/BBQ above the refrigerator, anchor out and so on the bbq (220 volts - 1800 watts is no problem through the batteries). There is also a fine deck wash pump including long hose. In short, a super nice motor yacht with great reliable engines and a nice asking price. Would you give me a call? Comments:

Hours: SB: Now in 537 on the starboard engine. Official invoice of the new engines state, repowering at 310 hours, so the new SB engine has now run 227 hours

BB: Now stands 533 on the port engine. New engine at 309, so 224 has the BB engine running

In the winter of 2016/2017, the mechanic made the wrong preparations for the winter and finally 2 new engines arrived.

It was then decided to have the tailpieces completely dismantled and to have mega maintenance carried out (some of them think that's unnecessary, comment owner: I'd rather do it very well, then you'll definitely enjoy your boat).

There is a pile of invoices of EUR 27,000 in total

Only from the maintenance and the new engines. Winterizing, the new cap (EUR 4500), the inverter, batteries etc (EUR 6000) are not even part of this, so you're sure to go over the 37000 in total.

the stainless steel duo props sail great and also promote backwards sailing

2 engines and a bow thruster make mooring child's play.

Especially with all the maintenance and new engines, the next owner can go on the water without a care in the world!

3000 watt Multi plus inverter used incl. multiplus control panel in the point with 4*185 amp batteries in the engine compartment.

Double argofet diode bridges on the alternators, even if you sail with 1 engine, all batteries are charged without leakage currents. All fused, including shore power earth leakage.

Next to the inverter there is a separate battery charger with 3 outputs for the 2x starter and bow thruster battery.

The starter batteries have been placed in the point under the stairs near the bow thruster battery.

Two opposing rotating screws provide greater efficiency and better sailing characteristics compared to a single screw. The Duoprop concept results in a much better grip in the water and therefore a better acceleration and unparalleled sailing characteristics. At both low and high speeds, a boat with Duoprop is easier to manoeuvre.
