The Platu 25 that we offer is a racer pur sang. Since 2007, this design is recognized by the ISAF organisation as one design class. The boat is very popular in many European and Asian countries. In Germany, a large field in eg regions near Kiel, the Möhnesee and Lake Constance are regular class regattas. The boat we offer is measured according to the strict class rules and admitted. There is also an ORC rating certificate and the boat regularly achieved good results. The sail wardrobe is extensive and in good condition. There is a Hyde Kevlar mainsail -used only 2 times- which is very suitable for ORC matches. The Hagoort pentex sails are allowed in the unit class and measured in 2007. For training and touring, there are also two Hagoort dacron sails which are hardly used. In races the boat is not reefed, but for touring and delivery trips with little crew there is a storm jib and the mainsail can be reefed. The boat is not equipped with anti-fouling so as to achieve the least possible resistance. For storage and transport it stands on a Kalf road trailer which is equipped with Dutch licence plates. The car needs required towing weight of 1,800 kg (eg VW Passat, Volvo V70). The boat is hoisted on one lifting eye. The rigging of the boat can be done by an experienced crew in less than 1 hour.
