More about the Broom 425

This 2008 Broom 425 is an exceptionally comfortable and stylish motor yacht that perfectly reflects the renowned British build quality. This model is known for its excellent handling, timeless appearance, and high-quality finish, making it ideal for both long voyages and relaxing onboard.

At over thirteen meters long and with a generous beam of almost 4.20 meters, the Broom 425 offers a surprising amount of living space. The stable hull shape and reliable polyester construction ensure safe and predictable handling, both in inland and open waters. Thanks to its CE category B certification, this yacht is also suitable for coastal waters.

The propulsion system consists of two Volvo Penta D6 diesel engines with propeller shafts, guaranteeing reliability, efficiency, and easy maintenance. These two engines, plus a bow thruster, make maneuvering in harbors and locks easy and controlled. The smooth-running D6 engines also give this boat a generous top speed of approximately 40 km/h. A complete 12V and 230V system is available on board, including shore power, a generator, and an inverter, making long-term stays on board effortless. Additional electricity is generated by the solar panels.

The interior is finished in warm, classic wood and exudes an atmosphere of luxury and craftsmanship. The saloon is spacious and bright thanks to large windows and offers a comfortable seating area where you can relax both while cruising and in port. The galley is practical and fully equipped, with ample work and storage space.

At the aft end, you'll find an exceptionally spacious master cabin with a French bed and ample storage. A toilet and a separate shower are also located here. The second cabin is located forward. A handy detail in the forward cabin is its two single beds that easily convert into a double bed. The forward cabin also features a head with a toilet and shower.

Outside, the Broom 425 offers a well-designed cockpit, which also houses the steering wheel. From here, you have a perfect view of the surroundings. Behind the helm seats is an additional round seating area with a table in the center. A great place to enjoy a beautiful day on the water with friends and family. And if the weather is a bit less than ideal, you'll find shelter under the newly installed cockpit tent (installed in 2024). Furthermore, the boat is equipped with wide, safe gangways and a swimming platform with a convenient staircase leading to and from the deck. This makes it easy to take a refreshing dip in the water, and certainly also to board and disembark with ease. All decks are beautifully finished with synthetic teak, giving you the luxurious look of teak without the maintenance.

The equipment includes the necessary navigation devices such as a chartplotter, depth sounder, VHF radio, AIS, and autopilot, making the yacht fully equipped for comfortable and safe cruising. There's also a generator, dual heating, a freezer, a washing machine, solar panels, and a 2000W inverter. An interesting detail: the radar arch over the cockpit can be easily folded down electrically at the touch of a button, reducing the air draft to approximately 2.40 m, making many of the French channels accessible.

This 2008 Broom 425 is an ideal choice for the boater who values quality, comfort, and reliable handling. This timeless motor yacht is fully equipped, well-maintained, and ready for many carefree boating seasons.
