More about the Beneteau First 47.7

The Beneteau yard contracted Bruce Farr for the design of this yacht. His designs are not only regular winners on the race track but also user-friendly for the cruising sailor. From behind the big steering wheel one has good overview and control over the boat. The compass and new Raymarine instruments are placed at the steering wheel. Around the cockpit are heavy duty Lewmar winches where the sheets, halyards and trimlines are lead. The deklayout is well thought out and clear. The deck gear is positioned so that the many trim lines for the crew are at their fingertips. The extensive sailing gardrobe consists of quality sails from, among others, UK / De Vries. For broad reach courses there are several spinnakers and gennaker.
Once inside the cabin, the boat breathes tranquility and style, thanks to the use of light leather cushions. There is a good balance between beauty and functionality. Chic design details like lamps, windows and curves in the woodwork jump into the eye. The salon has a spacious seating area with oval table in the middle. To the right, the kitchen is placed with a double sink, stove, oven and refrigerator. There is a lot of cupboard space in the kitchen area. In the bow is a spacious double owner's cabin with en-suite head complete with a sink and also here plenty of closet space. In the aft are two large double cabins. On the left side of the cabin entrance, is a large head and the navigation corner. The engine is easily accessible by the large removable hatch. The boat is professionally maintained and stored indoors in winter.
All in all, this Beneteau First 47.7 is a very successful design. From inside very nice to stay, from outside a pleasure to sail with. If you are interested and want to see the boat in Den Oever (NL), please contact [email protected], +31 (0) 228 855 380. Your yachtbroker is Robert de Vries.
