More about the Nigel Irens Roxane
This well-maintained and little used Roxane, a design by Nigel Irens, is a real eye-catcher. Nigel Irens is best known for his much larger designs of catamarans. The Roxane is perfect for a day or weekend on the water. Because of the centreboard (maximum draught 1.76, minimum 0.76) and ballast, the boat is very suitable for sailing on the IJsselmeer, Wadden Sea and coastal waters. The boat is made of polyester with mahogany superstructure, teak on the roof of the superstructure and teak on deck. Recently all the fittings have been replaced and all the halyards have been led to the cockpit. The spars have been checked and gelcoat repairs have been carried out. The sails are in good condition. Inside the boat is nicely carpentered with lacquered mahogany (Gemini-Teak Enkhuizen (NL), which in combination with the blue upholstery gives a cozy look. The floor has been repainted in April 2020.
At the entrance there is a sink with tap on the left and a cooker on the right. In the saloon there are 2 longitudinal benches, which can also be used as a sleeping place. For the colder days there is a possibility to heat the salon with the available stove. At the front of the boat there is a room with toilet on the right and storage space on the left, followed in the bow by a double bed. By using daylight prisms in the deck, there is light in the cabin, even when the hatch is closed. The Yanmar 1 cylinder diesel engine is easily accessible for maintenance by simply taking away the stairs. The 100 Ah battery was renewed in May 2020 and is rechargeable with a separate solar panel.
This boat is mediated through the office White Whale Yachtbrokers Enkhuizen. If you are interested, please contact [email protected] or +31(0)228 855 380 for more information or to make an appointment for a viewing on board. Viewings are possible from Monday to Saturday.
