More about the C-Yacht 10.40 Cyacht 1040 C Yacht

Very well maintained C-Yacht 10.40 of the famous Zaadnoordijk Yachtbuilders shipyard. This high-quality ship is extremely suitable for longer voyages in comfort. The owner has not cut back on maintenance and has invested a lot in it over the years with as most striking things a hull painted over in 2020, a new sprayhood with cockpit tent in 2018, an AIS transmitter / receiver but also a chartplot, batteries, Trilens radar reflector, etc. etc.

So this C-Yacht 10.40 is not only well maintained but like every C-Yacht it is well built with a high quality finish. Of course equipped with a centre cockpit so you can sit high and dry. In this case not only proverbial, when the weather is less nice on big water there is little water on deck and waves are considerably less likely to give you a wet suit. The partially fixed sprayhood of course also contributes to this.

Inside the ship you will be welcomed by a cozy and warm interior that is further characterized by a high quality finish, Beautifully built on flame teak has been used to create a real nautical atmosphere on board. But she is not only beautiful, she is also very practical. Upon entering the saloon you will find the chart table to starboard and access to the spacious wet room. On the port side you will find the galley which is of course equipped with hot and cold running water, a stove, oven, refrigerator and lots of storage space. The galley continues in the passageway to the stern where you will find a spacious owner's cabin at the end of the passageway across the entire width of the hull.

Midship is the cosy and comfortable saloon. With fine sofas on both sides of the ship and a table in the middle. In the front of the ship is the two cabins which, just like the aft cabin, are equipped with a double bed and the necessary storage space.

This C-Yacht 10.40 is excellently maintained with, among other things, an overpainted hull in 2020, ready to sail again for a new owner. If you are looking for a high quality finished yacht that will take you wherever you want to go in comfort, please do not hesitate to contact us to make an appointment for a viewing. Supplementary from the owner:

We are still the proud owners of our beautiful sailing boat, the C-Yacht 10.40 and we are looking for a new owner, who, like us, takes care of the boat and pamper it and takes it on beautiful sailing trips, because that is what she is made for.

Sailing in with our previous boat, in the harbour of Dover, was the last straw for me! If this was the way it had to be, bouncing, with huge waves that of course thundered over us in the cockpit, everything shifting in the boat, that scary slant, then my husband had to go out with friends from now on, I was done with it.

Back in the Netherlands my dear understood very well, that if he wanted to enjoy a relaxed sail along, there had to be a boat, where I as a woman would be happy and with the purchase of this ship, this is definitely the case.

The following year, under the same weather conditions, our sailing boat ploughed quietly through the high waves into the port of Dover. We made great trips with our boat, so we hope that there are sailors who want to go on adventures, regularly sail the boat, then she thrives best.

We affectionately call her our tanker! Because yes, she is heavy (even extra lead blocks in the tip, lead keel, teak deck). So it is not a fast boat, but just for the long distances, trips over large waters, this boat is extremely reliable. Let me put it this way; it's not the boat's fault.

At wind force 6 you only set up a reef. I don't see any point in sailing with bad weather, too much wind, but the boat can handle it with ease. No exciting stern waves, you are safe and sheltered in the centre cockpit.

The biggest secret, however, lies in what the boat has to offer inside. A small, comfortable cottage, where everything has been thought of; an owner's cabin with a lovely bed, your own bathroom, a kitchen that invites you to cook. Our new summer tent makes sure that we can sit 'upstairs', when the weather is a bit less. The tip is filled with our bikes, the sup, etc, but of course you can let more than 2 people sleep in it.

Many a woman, who has been on board with us, has walked to her partner by breeze; ''why don't I have this?! "Why didn't you think of me when you got the idea we were going sailing?!"

Because yes, we women like to go along, but there are, especially when we are a bit older, also limits. Or rather, we do have some conditions; sailing, traveling, lots of fun, but I want to feel safe and surrounded with the necessary luxury.

Engineers, connoisseurs, the men who come on board with us are bottom of the range of quality that the boat can technically offer. There is no mess behind the panels. Engine easily accessible, from 2 sides. A box in which you can stand.

This boat is a godsend! There aren't that many for sale. If you take good care of the boat, it'll survive you. Rarely solid work, with the best materials. We are the third owner. The demo boat, with all conceivable extra options, was first pampered for 6 years and sailed by Germans, who handed over the baton to Germans who rarely came to the boat. Fortunately, they also realized that this is a mortal sin and so we were able to take over the baton 5 years ago.

We have lovingly maintained the ship and of course also invested in the purchase of for example navigation and AIS, but also for example a new summer tent.

The fading of the blue gelcoat has been a thorn in our side for years, the ship deserves better. So the hull is now being painted. Honestly, we're so sorry to have waited so long, so beautiful! But anyway, we have decided to go ahead with the sale and enjoy it ourselves.

Even though we have decided that we are now at an age that a motorboat suits us better, we are in no hurry and are waiting for the buyer to realize what an opportunity this is.

The boat is now ready, off you go! With hopefully an owner who really appreciates her and really takes over, takes good care of her and takes her along, like a cottage on the water, on adventurous journeys.
