The Noordkaper 40 is an exceptionally robust and seaworthy Dutch quality yacht. The rigging is modern and the sails are easy to reef. The headsails are placed on rollers so that they can be quickly removed. The jib is self-tacking, making tacking easy. The advantage of the chosen rigging is that the sail point is low and that the sail setting can be adapted much better to the conditions. The maple-finished interior has been applied with great craftsmanship, as evidenced by the curves and sturdy bulkheads. The wheelhouse is a great place to sit both under sail and in the harbour, with an unobstructed view all around. On the right is the navigation corner with equipment. A few steps down you enter the saloon. On the port side is a cabin in the midships. Also on the port side is the galley with both oven and microwave and cooling. On the starboard side is the table with sofa and chair. Further in the foreship is a separate toilet and shower room. In the forepeak is a 2-person cabin. The Noordkaper 40 was launched in 2001 after a construction period of approximately 18 months and is in a good state of maintenance.
