The Oever (NL)
The Van de Stadt Madeira 44 is a fast and seaworthy yacht, very stable. Her design is ideal for long distances thanks to her fixed doghouse and large cockpit. This steel yacht was built by the owner himself and is in excellent condition. She received a complete new paint system in 2023, and her last antifouling was applied in July 2025. She offers an ideal combination of comfortable onboard living and fast offshore cruising in all conditions. The boat is easily sailed by a small crew or even solo.
The interior is spacious with a warm nautical look. The carpentry is beautifully executed in a combination of dark wood and many light panels. The many windows and hatches let in a lot of light. Upon entering, on the port side is the spacious L-shaped galley, equipped with all modern conveniences. On the starboard side opposite is the navigation corner. Amidships is the spacious sitting area with spacious sofas around the table. In the bow is the owner's cabin with en suite wet cell. In the aft ship are two cabins with a total of 3 berths.
The propulsion comes from a VW diesel engine with 75 HP. The advantage of this reliable engine is that in case parts are needed, they are available in many places in the world. The technology on board is also well executed and drawings are available for everything.
