Fantastic opportunity to purchase a Mikado 56 with refit 70% done and nearly almost all materials and missing devices to be installed already on board. For sale "AS IS" with fixed price €35.000. Built between 1976 and 1984 at CNSO France, "Farewell" was purchased at auction in 2018 in Almería in a state of abandonment and semi-sunken. Refit started from 0 at the boatyard,  underwater hull was completely restored and now “as new”. Interior was stripped completely, including the engine. The boat remained on the hard until summer 2020, when she was relaunched. Once back in her berth, refit began on the interiors, deck, rigging, and replacement of the engine until being interrupted due to a fatal accident of the owner/restaurer. €60,000 is already spent on materials alone. Labour hours already invested in the entire refit total are approximately 5.000. New owner needs to be technically skilled to finish the installation of the engine, windlass, bow thruster, etc. “Farewell” should be taken again to the boatyard.

DETAILS:
- Design by Miguel Bigoin. Built in fiberglass by CNSO in France.
- Underwater hull fully restored with epoxy and high-quality antifouling. Propeller and rudder blade replaced.
- 2 aluminum masts cleaned and restored. Rigging inspected with pending adjustment and tensioning.
- Set of second-hand sails, to be revised.
- Large gangway, mooring lines, and miscellaneous safety equipment.
- Original Perkins 4 Range 115Hp engine replaced with a similar second-hand engine. Rebuilt in a workshop in Almería and tested (see video) before being placed in the engine room. Final installation, painting, and coupling to the propeller still pending. New owner has to be familiar with engines and mechanics to finish this job himself
- Deck prepared for covering with high-quality non-skid material (grey color), all already purchased and on board.
- Bow thruster and anchor windlass purchased and on board, installation pending.
- Interiors with kitchen, saloon, bathroom, and 3 cabins completed. The individual bathroom for the owner’s cabin still to be finished.
- Saloon with working heating/cooling air conditioning, flat-screen TV, and 2 large fridges.
- Kitchen with sink, hot/cold water, microwave, oven, gas burner, and extractor hood.
- Bathroom with electric toilet, sink, and shower.
