The Volkerak 43 is a rigid built yacht, suitable for blue water cruising. The design is characterized by a long and relatively narrow hull with a semi S-shaped keel section. The boat is cutter rigged and can be reefed to withstand severe winds. Spring 2014 the seller has invested in a full paintjob. The boat is ready to got for a long voyage. The boat is fairly easy to handle for the experienced sailor short-handend. The cockpit offers good shelter, and navigation is primarily done inside at the card table. Autopilot and windvane keep the boat on course.

The interior is nicely crafted from mahogany and has a high gloss varnished finish. Upon entering, to the left is the navigation area and the galley to the right. A small flight of stairs below brings us to the salon with ample seating around the large table. There is a cozy stove at the mast foot . In the front is a double cabin with ample storage space. Starboard is the head with electric toilet and sink. In the stern is also a double cabin with V-shaped bed. Under the floor amidships is Mercedes marine diesel. Tanks for diesel and water are integrated in the construction and have large inspection hatches.
