History
Hanse was founded in 1990 by Michael Schmidt. He started building the polyester Hanse 291 sailing yachts, based on the design by Carl Baier of the Swedish Aphrodite 291. Characteristic was the low price combined with a modern and sporty finish. The Hanse 401 in 1997 was also a huge success. Since 1999, Hanse has been collaborating with Judel/Vrolijk & Co for the design.

Range
Hanse builds a beautiful range of sailing yachts. The range varies from the smaller 315 to the largest 675.

Dutch importer
Hanse is imported into the Netherlands by West Yachting in Workum.
