More about the Broom 425

This Broom 425 from 2008 is a remarkably comfortable and stylish motor yacht that perfectly reflects renowned British build quality. This model is known for its excellent sailing characteristics, timeless appearance and high-quality finish, making it particularly suitable for both long journeys and relaxed stays on board.

With a length of just over thirteen metres and a generous width of almost 4.20 metres, the Broom 425 offers surprisingly spacious living areas. The stable hull shape and reliable polyester construction ensure safe and predictable handling, both on inland waters and open water. Thanks to CE category B, this yacht is also suitable for coastal waters.

The drive consists of two Volvo Penta D6 diesel engines with propeller shafts, which guarantees reliability, efficiency and easy maintenance. These two engines plus a bow thruster make maneuvering in harbors and locks easy and controlled. But the smoothly running D6 engines also give this vessel a generous top speed of approx. 40 km/h. Onboard there is a complete 12V and 230V system, including shore power connection, generator and inverter, making extended stays on board effortlessly possible. Additional electricity is generated by the solar panels present.

The interior is finished in warm, classic wood and radiates an atmosphere of luxury and craftsmanship. The salon is spacious and bright thanks to large windows and offers a comfortable seating area that is pleasant to be in, both while sailing and in the harbor. The kitchen is practical and fully equipped, with plenty of work and storage space.

In the aft you will find a particularly spacious owner's cabin with a French bed and plenty of storage space. A toilet can of course also be found here, as well as a separate shower room. The second cabin is in the bow. A handy detail in the bow cabin is that there are two single beds that can easily be converted into a double bed. The bow also naturally features a wet room with a toilet and shower.

Outside, the Broom 425 offers a nicely arranged cockpit where the helm station is also located. From here you have a perfect view of your surroundings. Behind the helm seats there is an additional lounge area with a table in the middle. A great spot to enjoy a beautiful day on the water together with friends and family. And when the weather conditions are a bit less favourable, you'll find shelter under the newly installed cockpit tent from 2024. The vessel also features wide, safe gangways and a swim platform with a nice ladder to and from the deck. This makes it easy to take a refreshing dip in the water, but also to easily get on and off the boat. All decks are beautifully finished with synthetic teak, giving you the luxurious look of teak without the maintenance.

The equipment includes, among other things, the necessary navigation equipment such as chartplotter, depth sounder, VHF radio, AIS and autopilot, making the yacht fully equipped for comfortable and safe sailing. But there is also a generator on board, dual heating, a freezer, washing machine, solar panels, a 2000W inverter. Interesting detail; the radar arch over the cockpit can easily be folded down electrically at the push of a button, reducing the clearance height to approximately 2.40 m, making many of the French waterways accessible as well.

This Broom 425 from 2008 is an ideal choice for the water sports enthusiast who values quality, comfort and reliable sailing characteristics. This timeless motor yacht is fully equipped, well maintained and ready for many carefree sailing seasons.
