More about the Kaag Kruiser Deluxe

Kaag Kruiser Deluxe – A floating piece of Dutch watersports history

Some boats you buy with your mind.

This one you buy with your heart.

As soon as you catch the first glimpse of this exceptionally beautiful Kaag Kruiser Deluxe, you immediately understand that this is no ordinary motor yacht. This is a boat with a soul. A boat with a story. A boat that has been cherished for years with love, craftsmanship and respect for the original design.

This beautiful shipyard-built Kaag Kruiser was fully restored in 1994 by none other than the Visch brothers themselves. A restoration in which cost, time and attention were secondary to one goal: preserving a Dutch classic masterpiece.

The result can certainly be called unique.

Today, the boat is in absolute concours condition. The glossy wooden superstructure, the stunning chrome-plated brass window frames, the classic convertible roof and the perfectly maintained lines give her an appearance that you rarely encounter on the water anymore. Where modern boats often resemble each other, this Kaag Kruiser draws admiring glances everywhere. In every harbour a conversation starts. People come to look. Ask about her history. And rightly so.

Not without reason has this vessel featured multiple times in Waterkampioen and several articles have been published about her. The complete documentation is present, as well as an impressive archive with invoices and history. A level of transparency and care that is hardly ever found nowadays.

Classic charm combined with reliable boating pleasure

Beneath the beautiful exterior lies a reliable 53 HP Vetus diesel engine, newly installed around 1990 and with only approximately 1,200 running hours. An engine known for its solidity, quietness and reliability.

On board you experience the comfort of a much larger vessel:

  • Hot air heating
  • Large boiler of no less than 125 litres
  • Pressurised water system
  • Shore power connection
  • Battery charger
  • Electric anchor winch
  • Deck wash pump
  • Davits
  • Cockpit tent
  • Radio/CD player
  • 4-burner stove
  • Compass and log
  • Searchlight
  • Windshield wiper
  • Swim platform ladder
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Bronze 3-blade propeller

With a 250 liter diesel tank and 95 liter water tank this boat is excellently suited for long, relaxed trips through the Netherlands, Belgium, or the German inland waterways.

An atmosphere you cannot recreate

Step aboard and you feel it immediately.

The well-maintained Sky leather upholstery, the warm woodwork, the classic details, and the authentic look and feel take you back to the golden years of Dutch boating. You hear the quiet sound of the Vetus diesel, feel the sun through the open convertible top, and watch the banks slowly glide by.

This is not a boat for someone who simply wants to sail.

This is a boat for someone who enjoys arriving at a harbor while people turn to look.

For someone who wants to be proud of their boat.

For someone who understands that true quality is timeless.

For the enthusiast who sees the difference

There are many boats for sale.

But there is only one Kaag Kruiser Deluxe with this history, this restoration, this documentation, and this state of maintenance.

Such a boat rarely comes to market and often quickly disappears again to an owner who understands exactly what they have in front of them.

Are you that enthusiast?

Then don't wait too long.

Call to arrange a viewing, step aboard and experience for yourself why so many people fall in love with this exceptional Kaag Kruiser.

A word of warning: chances are that after the viewing you won't want to go home without her anymore.

Make an appointment today. This is the kind of boat for which you'll gladly take a day off, grab the car keys and speed off to the harbour. As soon as you see her, you'll understand why.

Vetus P4.25 – The reliable heart of this special Kaag Kruiser

Under the bonnet of this magnificent Kaag Kruiser lies an engine that immediately commands respect among connoisseurs: the Vetus P4.25 marine diesel engine. Recognisable by its characteristic orange engine block, which has for years been synonymous with reliability, sturdiness and carefree boating pleasure.

This powerful 4-cylinder diesel engine was installed around 1990 and has since only made approximately 1,200 running hours Made. For an engine of this quality, that still means a very long future ahead. This is an engine specially developed for pleasure boating and frequently used in high-quality steel motor yachts.

Anyone who opens the engine room immediately sees a clear and solidly built installation. The engine is equipped with a V-belt driven alternator for a reliable charging capacity of the onboard batteries and features an easily accessible fuel filter installation at the front, which makes maintenance and inspection easy.

Built for years of boating pleasure

The Vetus P4.25 is known for its quiet running, low RPMs, and excellent reliability. It is an engine that was not built for speed, but for something much more important: years of trouble-free cruising.

Whether you are gliding calmly over the Kagerplassen, taking a multi-day trip through Friesland, or heading towards Zeeland, this Vetus always delivers the confidence you would expect from a quality engine.

With its four cylinders, the engine runs remarkably smoothly and with minimal vibration. The combination of sufficient power and a calm character fits perfectly with the classic character of this Kaag Kruiser.

No maintenance backlog, no unknown history, but a demonstrably well-maintained installation for which documentation and invoices are available.

That provides confidence. Not only for today, but also for the years to come.

When you turn the key, you immediately hear why the Vetus P4.25 is so beloved among watersports enthusiasts. The familiar sound of a powerful four-cylinder, the calm idling, and the knowledge that beneath you lies an engine built to serve for many years to come.

A classic boat deserves a reliable engine. This Kaag Kruiser has both. That is why this is not just a boat, but a rare combination of craftsmanship, history, appearance and technology. A combination you have to see, hear and experience to truly appreciate. As soon as the engine starts, you'll be sold.

Additional description:

The Seafarer 501 is a classic analog depth sounder (echo sounder) that was widely fitted on sailing yachts and motorboats, especially in the 1970s and 1980s. The instrument still enjoys an excellent reputation for its simplicity, reliability and clearly readable analog display.

Features of the Seafarer 501

  • Analog depth display with a moving needle.
  • Works with a transducer (sensor) in the hull that measures the water depth using echo sounder technology.
  • Equipped with three control buttons:
    • On/off and scale range (often x1 and x6)
    • Sensitivity (Gain)
    • Depth alarm
  • Very easy to use and hardly prone to malfunction.

How does it work?

The Seafarer 501 sends a sound pulse to the bottom and measures the time until the echo returns. Based on this, the water depth is calculated, the same principle that modern depth sounders still use today.
