More about the Cheoy Lee Clipper 42 Ketch

Since 1870, the Cheoy Lee shipyard in Hong Kong has been building its ships. From large commercial vessels to smaller yachts. In its 140-year history, more than 5000 ships have been built and delivered. This Cheoy Lee Clipper 42 Ketch is a model designed by Bill Luders, of which approximately 50 units were built. If you love a ship with beautiful lines, this will be a feast for the eyes. With its round stern, the widest part behind the middle of the hull and a tapering bow with a long bowsprit, this is the epitome of grace. Many fellow water sports enthusiasts will greet you appreciatively. The current owner has maintained and improved this ship with love and passion to its current, good condition. In 2009, the entire teak deck was replaced, as well as the teak parts on the superstructure. In 2005, all the sails were cut and manufactured specifically for this ship by Jan Miedema of Gaastra Sails. In 2010, a new sprayhood was installed, and so on. The aft section is spacious, where you can spend many peaceful hours without being bothered by the space taken up by your fellow passengers. Because the aft section rises relatively high, you always have a beautiful view in all directions. When stepping into the ship, the 2 berths on port and starboard immediately stand out. Further forward, on the starboard side is the galley, and opposite it the cozy saloon. Between the saloon and the port aft berth is the toilet. The engine is positioned deep down towards the keel, giving a nice low center of gravity. At the front of the bow there is a fairly spacious cabin equipped with storage space. This beautiful yacht has already made long voyages and is waiting for an owner who may also have this ambition. Shorter trips are of course also possible, think of the Wadden Sea, or the Baltic Sea.
