The Hallberg Rassy 342 is a successful design by German Frers. Since its introduction, the shipyard has sold a considerable number of yachts of this type. The boat has beautiful lines and a fractional rig with two pairs of swept-back spreaders. The teak deck is spacious and easy to walk on. All lines are led to the cockpit so that reefing and trimming can be done from behind the partially fixed sprayhood. This is also where the Raymarine plotter is mounted. On the cockpit edge, incidentally, there are a couple of 46" Lewmar winches, one size larger than standard. The mahogany interior is neat and shows almost no signs of use.
