The CHB 34 looks a lot like the Grand Banks Classic series. The build quality is certainly not inferior, but the price is a lot more attractive. This example is in an exceptionally fine state of maintenance, both visually and technically, and is fully European-equipped with Volvo Penta engines and Vetus equipment. The distinctive Grand Banks lines stand out immediately. The boat has a sturdy appearance. The finish with plenty of beautifully varnished mahogany and the cork deck newly laid in 2000 accentuate the luxurious character of this boat. The decks are very easy to walk on. In particular, the enormous flybridge offers a great spot while sailing, but also in the harbor or at anchor. This flybridge has not only a cover but also a bimini for extra protection against sun and rain. The interior is just as beautifully maintained as the exterior. The saloon is very cozy with a lot of teak. Equipped with an inside helm station, a spacious kitchen, plenty of seating, and 2 double cabins. Both cabins have their own en-suite bathroom. The beds in the front cabin are 215 cm long, in the rear cabin 185 cm (extendable if desired). There is a lot of storage space throughout the boat. The owner has also made many nice and practical modifications, such as built-in mosquito screens, etc. The powerful Volvo Penta engines are well maintained. The engine room is a prime example of what an engine room should look like. And that after 34 years of sailing! Thanks to the twin engines, a bow thruster is not necessary, and therefore not installed. There is a Volvo heater present, however the current owner has never used it, so it should be checked.
