More about the Fairline 40 Flybridge
Beautiful Fairline 40 Fly, only 600 hours on the engines!
This Fairline 40 has been used very little and you can really tell by looking at the boat. The boat has just been cleaned and polished very thoroughly. The most striking features of this boat are the exceptionally low engine hours (600) and the very beautiful hull with hardly any signs of use
This model has a nice aft cockpit with a rear bench and a beautiful wide staircase to the upper helm station. In this aft cockpit, on the large rear bench, you can enjoy close contact with the water without the canopy.
The FlyBridge. On top, you get an especially good feel for the ship. Together with the two engines and also a bow thruster, you can maneuver very easily. Docking/mooring is a piece of cake. The two large heavy power sources (Volvo's) are very reliable and very well maintained. Fortunately, the engines are controlled by only two throttle levers and not by an extra set of levers for the gearbox. This way, you can steer simply by using only the throttle levers. This model has a nice wide helm seat on top of the flybridge, extra speakers, and extra cup holders. There is also an additional seating area on the flybridge that can be extended into a sun lounger/corner bench. The flybridge dashboard is spacious, the steering wheel is well centered, and altogether it gives you a good overview of the entire boat. The radar arch gives the boat extra presence. There is a beautiful heavy galvanized anchor with electric foot switches. The entire superstructure is nicely fitted with a sturdy sea railing and many safety handles. The sea railing is also still nicely straight everywhere and not bent. The ship also has a searchlight. The anti-glare sunshade edge made of plexiglass is still completely intact and undamaged. Several navigation systems are also present.
The entire extra area above the helm station mentioned above is surrounded by a beautiful high stainless steel safety railing. This again provides an extra safe feeling. A small stainless steel gate has also been made to, for example, make going down easier. The radar bracket can be folded down and the radar dome/protective cover is extra protected with an additional stainless steel bracket. The whole can be covered with an extra cover tent. This is also present and still in good condition.
The ship has new fenders, a new flag and even a new jack flag. This model has beautiful stainless steel portholes. On the front deck, a wonderfully beautiful sundeck has been built with 5 lovely cushions that still look really good. There is a nice spacious and easily accessible swim platform with a stainless steel swim ladder. So you always bring your own swimming pool with you. There are also two davits/boat cranes made on the aft deck for lifting a small tender. The tent of the aft deck, the aft cockpit, is still good.
All aluminum windows are still in particularly good condition and the rubber seals are still nice and there are also no signs of water damage. Both on the foredeck and on the swim platform, nice extra stainless steel fender holders have been installed. Through the glass sliding doors you enter the saloon. Here you immediately notice the beautiful width of the boat. There is a spacious L-shaped saloon settee and a large saloon table in this saloon. The helm station is therefore very extensive and also offers space for fellow passengers, so cruising together on this vessel is great fun.
A beautiful, large, extensive and sturdy dashboard gives you good visibility all around thanks to all the windows. The beautiful large dashboard is fantastic: all those dials, gauges and switch buttons. Right next to the helm station, a handy kitchen has been built in. A beautiful U-shaped kitchen with all kinds of extras. Lots of storage space and a nice 4-burner cooktop. Double stainless steel sink with stainless steel faucet. A large stainless steel oven is present, also serving as extra extraction. The vessel has many 220-volt outlets, a gas alarm and extra lighting in the kitchen. 105-liter refrigerator by Waeco.
Many ships don't have a hanging closet but I have already counted several hanging closets. Still handy for clothing such as shirts and blazers, smart trousers and dresses and blouses. Moving forward, we enter the owner's cabin. A large double bed accessible from all sides. Here too, daylight and plenty of ventilation via the glass hatch. The hatch/escape hatch shows no water damage. Speakers, extra ceiling cabinets, a nice headboard/wall cushion for the bed. Also here 2 hanging closets and the passage to the toilet/shower room. The entrance door of this front cabin is entirely covered with a mirror on the inside.
The guest area is very spacious and offers room for two sleeping places. The toilet room has an extra sink, stainless steel porthole, mirror, hand-operated toilet (no noise at night). The most expensive part of a shower is the collection tray, and this is beautifully present here. Both in the front cabin and in this toilet cabin and shower cabin there are various ventilation options.
The engines are easily accessible and nicely clean, and I have not detected any leaks of water, fuel, or oil. The engines run nice and smoothly, the shafts and propellers have just been inspected by the shipyard.
