The Hanse 342 is a beautiful and practical boat. The design by Judel & Vrolijk gives her a sporty line with matching sailing characteristics. But she is also practical with the convenient self-tacking jib, ideal on small waters where short tacks often dominate. But it also provides a bit of tranquility on the boat, and the sizable mainsail ensures sufficient power. Furthermore, the Hanse is a wonderfully comfortable boat with wide gangways for an easy and safe walk around the deck, and the cockpit offers ample space for all occupants.
Inside the ship you will find a sleek but cozy interior, the trademark of Hanse. On the port side there is a strikingly spacious wet room with shower facilities and toilet. There is also access here to the anchor locker. This can therefore be reached from the cockpit and from inside. A handy detail that proves useful in practice. On the starboard side there is a compact but practical galley which is equipped with all conveniences and the necessary storage space. On this side of the ship is also the access to the aft cabin. Of course equipped with a double bed and closet space.
Amidships is the salon with a comfortable settee and a table on the starboard side and two nice seating areas with a navigation table in between on the port side. And right in the forepeak is the second cabin. Here too a sleeping place for two people and the necessary storage space.
