The Sun Fast 36 built by the French Jeanneau yard is a well-maintained yacht from a private owner. The design by Briand offers a lot of sailing pleasure due to the fine sailing characteristics and the complete equipment, both above and below deck. The deck layout is practical and the placement of the Harken hardware is well chosen. All halyards and trim lines are led to the cockpit. From the helm position the sheets are within reach so that the boat can also be sailed easily solo, and the navigation instruments are mounted in a clearly readable position to the left of the cabin entrance in the cockpit. The genoa is on a furling installation with the drum below deck. The sails are recent and in good condition and the set consists of a mainsail (2009), original genoa, high aspect (2010) and spinnaker. The mast is solidly stayed with rod rigging. The interior is made of high-gloss teak. The layout is traditional with two benches on either side in the saloon and a table in the middle. Noticeable is that there is some varnish wear on the floor, but otherwise the interior shows remarkably little sign of use. To the left of the entrance is an L-shaped galley with double sink, cool box, stove and oven. Opposite is the navigation area with switch panel and VHF radio. There are two double berths in the fore and aft cabins. The wet room with washbasin is easily accessible and there is sufficient room to move around. If you are looking for a fast and well-sailing yacht for cruising and perhaps also for racing, then this Jeanneau Sun Fast 36 is a suitable choice. The boat can be viewed at Medemblik.
