Nigel Irens Roxane Sold

This well-maintained and lightly used Roxane, a design by Nigel Irens, is a true eye-catcher. Nigel Irens became particularly well known for much larger designs including catamarans. The Roxane is perfectly suited for a day or weekend on the water. Thanks to the centreboard (maximum draft 1.76, minimum 0.76) and ballast, the boat is extremely suitable for sailing on the IJsselmeer, the Wadden Sea and coastal waters. The boat is made of polyester with a mahogany superstructure, teak on the roof of the superstructure and teak on the deck. All fittings have recently been replaced and all halyards have been led to the cockpit. The spars have been inspected and gelcoat repairs have been carried out. The sails are in good condition. Inside, the boat is beautifully finished with varnished mahogany (Gemini-Teak Enkhuizen (NL)), which, combined with the blue upholstery, gives it a cosy feel. The floor was repainted in April 2020.

Upon entering, there is a sink with a tap on the left and a cooking appliance on the right. In the saloon there are 2 settees, which can also be used as a sleeping place. For the colder days, there is the option to heat the saloon with the available heater. Towards the front of the boat, there is first a space with a toilet on the right and storage space on the left, followed by a double bed in the bow. Thanks to the use of daylight prisms in the deck, there is light in the cabin, even when the hatch is closed. The Yanmar 1-cylinder diesel engine is easily accessible for maintenance by simply removing the steps. The 100 Ah battery was renewed in May 2020 and can be charged with a separate solar panel.
