Beautiful Rekere 36 designed by renowned designer Dick Zaal. As soon as you step aboard this steel ship, it is immediately clear what the idea behind the design was. This ship was built to cover miles and to bring you safely to your destination in any circumstances. The current owner had the ship built and, after many years of sailing pleasure, has decided, with a heavy heart, to offer his ship for sale.

 

The hull was repainted again in 2018, and the owner has made a number of other interesting investments, such as a new genoa including a new Harken furling system in 2011, having part of the teak deck replaced in 2012, having the underwater hull sandblasted and applying 7 layers of epoxy in 2015, and a new sprayhood in 2017, to name just a few. The ship is also equipped with a Profurl furling system for the mainsail. This system is mounted on the boom instead of the usual in-mast furling system. This boom system has the great advantage that you do not have to sail exactly head to wind to furl or unfurl the sail.

 

The interior is finished in beautiful teak, giving the vessel a warm nautical atmosphere. It also has two cabins, plenty of storage space, and of course a well-equipped galley and chart table are not to be missed. A notable detail, by the way, is the generous headroom at the galley and chart table. Precisely in the spot where it comes in handy to have a bit of extra space for the taller person.
