The Skua 42 Tradewind we offer is fully equipped for long (sea) voyages. The design by M.C. van der Vlis is characterized by good and calm sailing behavior. The S-frame hull and deck are built of steel, but the superstructure and fixed sprayhood are made of aluminum for good initial stability. The cockpit is also pleasant, offering plenty of shelter behind the fixed sprayhood. The overall condition of the boat is good enough to sail away with. The current owner has lived on board for a longer period and carried out renovations whenever necessary.
The interior has a cozy saloon with petrol leather-upholstered benches, which together with the varnished teak gives a fine nautical look. Upon entering, you will find the wet room to starboard, and to port the navigation corner, followed by the galley with a 3-burner stove, oven, refrigerator, and double sink. In the forward part of the boat, to starboard, there is a cabin with a double bed with deep storage drawers underneath. To port there is an extra bed with plenty of storage space. Further into the bow there is another cabin with a double bed.
For those looking for a tough and solid quality yacht for long journeys, this Skua 42 is definitely worth viewing. Viewing is possible by appointment via office White Whale Yachtbrokers Enkhuizen.
