She is an older lady, but that doesn't mean she takes it easy, she still outpaces many modern ships.

 

The owner has gone to great lengths to keep this Grand Dame in top condition and a lot has been invested over the years. For example, the hull and superstructure were repainted in 2018 and the engine and saildrive were overhauled, including a new saildrive cuff. Furthermore, a new Proctor mast was installed in 2000, the rigging was renewed and the sails were renewed in 2013. In short, what was needed has been done and a little extra.

 

As soon as you step on board, the typical cockpit layout stands out. This is split into a "wheelhouse" and "seat", the advantage is that the helmsman or woman is not bothered by the other passengers. Cleverly thought out!

 

When we then enter the saloon, you will see dog kennels to the left and right of the entrance, partially located under the cockpit. Further forward in the ship, on the starboard side, there is a spacious chart table, and opposite it, on the port side, there is a compact but practical galley. Amidships is the saloon with settees on both sides, which can also be used as berths, with two additional (longitudinal) beds above them, and there is a table in the middle. In the saloon, you will also find the diesel heater. This is not only very comfortable but also fits beautifully with the style of the ship. Finally, in the forepeak, there is a double cabin and the toilet. Throughout the entire ship, the necessary storage space has been created so that you can neatly store your belongings on long voyages, for which the ship is exceptionally well suited.
