Beautiful Westerly Oceanlord 41, built for long trips along the coast or for a crossing. Spacious enough to stay on board for a long time or even to live on permanently. The spacious aft cabin is ideal as an owner's cabin. The Westerly's are known for being strongly built, and this one is no exception. Look at the robust woodwork inside, no MDF panels with a veneer layer, just plain 'solid wood' panels. 100 of these Oceanlords were built, and this is hull number 100.
As soon as you step on board, you notice how stable the ship lies. The spacious center cockpit offers enough shelter and room for several people. The aft deck is spacious.
The sail plan is relatively simple, a furling mainsail and a genoa (42m2), this genoa is new (2022). There are also 2 older foresails. The 'boom brake' shows that this is a ship meant to sail at sea. Sufficient thought has been given to safety while sailing downwind.
Upon entering through the spacious center cockpit, you will find the U-shaped galley to starboard, equipped with every convenience, while to port is the navigation corner and the passageway to the aft section. In this passageway there is a pilot berth and access to the engine room. At the rear is the spacious owner's cabin with its own shower/toilet.
In front of the galley/navigation corner is the spacious and cozy saloon with comfortable seating and beautiful upholstery. In the bow of the boat you will find a second wet area with toilet and shower and a spacious double bed.
