Built to the largest design by Gipon and owned by its first owner, she combines the robust appearance of a traditional round- and flat-bottomed boat with the comfort and space needed for longer journeys.

With her hull length of 9.75 m, she is large enough for extensive cruising and comfortable living on board, while remaining compact enough to fit in virtually any marina berth. This gives her an ideal balance between freedom, practical use and conviviality.

Thanks to her sturdy, traditional lines, Leoida attracts attention everywhere. She is loved by connoisseurs of round- and flat-bottomed boats, but feels just as at home with families, friends and adventurous water sports enthusiasts looking for a reliable boat with atmosphere and soul.

On board, everything is present for relaxed enjoyment, whether it's an afternoon on the water or a longer holiday trip. Running water, a 24V/220V onboard electrical system, a 1500W Victron MultiPlus battery charger/inverter, a 3-burner gas cooker, oven, and shore connection make the stay comfortable and complete.

With six fixed berths, plenty of storage space, and a practical sail locker in the forepeak, there is ample room for the whole family, friends, or relatives.

Ease of use has also been well thought out. Anchoring or lowering the mast is made easy with the anchor-mast winch and the attractive mast gallows, which also provides extra safety for children on the foredeck.

For safe sailing from early morning until late at night, Leoida is equipped with LED tricolor navigation lights, an anchor light, LED deck lighting, and a DSC VHF radio with AIS transmitter and receiver.

The vessel has always been maintained with care and is stored dry and protected in a heated winter hall every winter.

In 2025-2026, the entire engine room was renewed, including stainless steel tanks and an overhaul of the Thornycroft marine diesel engine with a PRM hydraulic reverse gearbox.

In recent years too, much attention has been paid to refitting and maintenance. Among other things, the following work has been carried out:

• Complete overhaul of the diesel engine and hydraulic reverse gear (2025)
• New stainless steel diesel tanks, stainless steel water drains and cooling water inlet (2025-2026)
• Overhaul of the anchor/mast winch (2021)
• Hull through-hulls in the bathroom renewed (2021)
• Exterior painted with 2-component paint from De IJssel (2021-2022)
• Halyards and lines renewed (2021)
• DSC VHF radio (B&G V60), extra handheld and AIS for transmitting and receiving (2023)
• Woodwork varnished annually with three coats of Epifanes
• Mast, bilge boards and rudder rebuilt in 2025 with ten coats of Epifanes varnish
• Lighting converted from halogen to LED, including navigation lights
• Good to know: the water heater and the electronic compass are currently not working

Leoida is a true family piece, built under own management and sailed with love for many years.

From the steel hull to the spars, bilge boards, the rudder and the interior: everything has been built with care and craftsmanship. The deck and cabin roof feature solid teak as a characteristic detail.

The ship also has covers for the mainsail and foresail. The original sails from Den Boer Sails are in good condition.
