Nicely lined Kokkruiser 1500
Very nicely lined Kokkruiser 1500. The "Samsãra" is a motor cruiser, built by the well-known Kok shipyard from Sappemeer. Very suitable for making longer journeys through Europe or for living on board (semi) permanently. Due to the low and elongated profile (flush deck), it is not so much a 'house' on the water, but a beautifully lined vessel.
The ship is heavily and solidly built with a teak deck 2.5cm thick. The spacious aft deck is sunny, but can also become very shaded with a suitable bimini. There is a fixed bench and with a small table and 2 loose chairs it is the perfect space to enjoy everything that passes by.
The fixed wheelhouse is a great advantage on rainy days and you still want to sail from one spot to another. This can be done in complete peace and warmth, and it is always dry.
From the wheelhouse you enter the saloon with a beautiful bench, on which you sit high enough to have a good view outside. Further forward (two steps down) is the galley and dinette. Further to starboard is a toilet for the guest cabin and the spacious guest cabin itself, for two persons.
Behind the saloon, on the port side, is a cabin with bunk beds, and all the way aft is the master cabin with a French bed. This bed is not positioned exactly in the middle, which has created extra space on the 'ladies' side' for a spacious dressing table. There is also ample storage space. This is also where the wet room is located, with a shower, toilet and a washing machine.
Beneath the saloon floor is the engine room where the reliable Deutz 6-cylinder quietly does its work; all technical installations are also neatly housed here.
