nice family boat, safe and suitable for the crossing

Beautiful original Van de Stadt 38 OK with, among other things, 2x Yanmar, bow thruster, large open cockpit, extra large 2-person sleeping cabin, radar etc.. If you have stopped sailing and are looking for a nice motorboat that is still seaworthy, then this is a great model. We all agree that with this boat you can cross to England particularly safely. It is a beautifully long and wide boat with safe gangways.

The driver has 360-degree visibility through the large aluminum windows, which also provide plenty of daylight in the helm cabin. The nice thing about this model is that you can sit at the same height together with your guests, so you experience the journey together. When you have a helm position, meaning the driver's seat on one side of the boat, this is actually very convenient when mooring, because you have good visibility, in this case on the port side, when mooring and going ashore..

This ship is particularly complete and has really nice extra equipment on board such as a beautiful Raymarine plotter plus a digital radar, VHF radio, large Yanmar dashboard, searchlight, fridge drawer and TV, and a large complete kitchen.

If you choose this model and thus want to have an open cockpit, then you choose good contact with the water, plus a sleeping cabin where you won't be kept awake by the sloshing of the water at the front in the bow cabin, because this sleeping cabin is built inside in the middle of the boat. Thanks to this construction, you sleep very peacefully in the middle of the boat and you actually experience no nuisance from the lapping water while at anchor. This clever ship therefore has remarkably many storage spaces; while taking photos I came across all sorts of hatches and cupboards, and I thought, what an incredible amount of storage space.

Due to health issues and age, this ship is now being offered for sale. It was last painted in 2016; a new paint job in due course is recommended. This is also known to the current owner, and he agrees to a lower asking price. There is no rust.
