More about the Riva Tritone

The Riva Tritone is regarded by many as the most elegant model in the classic Riva Range. Until the arrival of the Aquarama, the Tritone was the largest model and the only one equipped with two engines. The solid glossy mahogany aft deck is characteristic of the Tritone and gives it a more sophisticated design. The Tritone is considered the Riva model that exudes the most class. Celebrities and kings such as Nasser of Egypt and Prince Rainier of Monaco are just a few examples of Tritone owners. Mr. 007 also captains the Tritone in the most recent Heineken ad. This Tritone was built in 1960 and delivered in Germany. The first owner sailed it on the Wörthsee under the name Lisl. The current owner bought the boat in Munich from presumably the second owner, who also sailed it on the Wörthsee. The original Chrysler 177 HP engines were replaced at that time with more reliable and faster 350 Crusader XL engines. The boat is in good working condition (see also the recent test run video below) and needs to be upgraded visually/cosmetically. It can still be sailed for the coming seasons without issue. Eventually, however, the deck and hull will need to be restored. A unique opportunity to own a Tritone that can relatively easily be brought into concours condition.
