More about the Salonboot Notarisboot Teeuw Rotterdam 1926
a fully restored historic saloon boat
What will it be, a plastic launch or this exclusive and striking notary boat with a highly exclusive saloon superstructure with PLEASE NOTE!! a completely new hull bottom? (costs €8000) When you sail past with your guests, all heads turn in admiration towards this saloon boat. Now made fully seaworthy. The engine has been taken out and completely overhauled and inspected, including a refit of the fuel pump. How great is this saloon boat? All important parts of this boat have been inspected and repainted with lacquer. A new rear deck has been built and a section in the rear cockpit has been replaced. The front deck with a hatch, which is a unique piece of craftsmanship, has also been finished in high gloss. The roof and all parts have been beautifully painted in cream high gloss using a professional paint system. See the photos of how neatly the roof of the saloon boat has been finished with classic safety handrails. Inside, the doors are still fitted with original sandblasted glass windows. And once again, never any water in the boat again, and from now on always a clean, dry bottom. So now, this month, the boat has been delivered by the shipbuilder and this saloon boat is ready.
This salon boat is a historically luxuriously furnished inland vessel intended for day trips or river cruises. Previously, in earlier times without a superstructure, they were also called a notary boat or director's ship. The name refers to the fact that a salon boat is equipped with a comfortable lounge with views all around, where one can enjoy themselves during the journey.
In earlier times, these ships were built for the affluent class. Usually with a maximum length of under 25 meters. Due to their luxurious interior, salon boats can be suitable for large parties, such as weddings, and are sometimes rented out for that purpose. Would you like to plan a family reunion, or are you planning to organize a bachelor/bachelorette party? Are you looking for a unique corporate outing, or would you like to network at a special location?
This salon boat offers you as many possibilities as possible, both for business and private use.
Relaxing wonderfully on the water – it's the perfect way to spend a beautiful day. After all, what could be better than enjoying a snack and a drink in good company in a beautiful setting?
How retro is this? A particularly classic ship, a lovely cozy launch with a beautifully handcrafted superstructure. It remains a striking boat because you can immediately see how exceptionally beautiful it all is. The oval high-gloss white roof with the tall wooden superstructure is, for the connoisseur, characteristic of a Notaris line. The bow cuts sharply through the water and the boat is very manageable and also easy to steer. The benches inside are positioned so that every passenger has an excellent view outside. The gangway is delightfully wide and the benches are comfortable to sit on. There is a cabinet with an authentic little washbasin. The helm station is placed entirely at the front so that the helmsman has an unobstructed view all around. Of course you choose this boat when you see that boring, sleek launches go by. With this boat you stand out and stay dry. It is so pleasant to enjoy the view together and have a good chat with each other. It will be wonderful days. This boat is entirely spotless in its varnish and will not need paint for the time being. The engine has only just been thoroughly gone over. This super beautiful Dutch river cruiser is now particularly keenly priced. The boat is stored indoors in the restorer's shed in Loosdrecht, 15 minutes from Amsterdam.
