More about the Recla Tarpon 42 Fly

Now offered due to sudden health issues. This beauty is fully ready to sail for the upcoming season. Come and take a look and convince yourself of a fantastic French boat which is very practically fitted out. Extremely beautiful aft deck and the entire ship is designed in a modern line and has good headroom.

Designer and builder Louis Recla had his shipyard (chantiers) in the middle of France, a bit above Lyon in Vitry-Charollais. His specialty was designing and building pleasure boats. In the early 80s, he and his family started building with polyester and soon the first models motor yachts were launched. This Tarpon 42 is the most built model and was therefore a great success. Many French people enjoy the beautiful Recla's because they sail so wonderfully and are nice and spacious. With an enormous central salon and a helm station built tightly to starboard, there remains a very large space. The large panoramic windows all around are lovely, providing plenty of daylight but also good visibility at eye level from the round salon bench. It is truly a wonderful family boat. None of the aluminum windows show water damage and all moving parts close perfectly. A U-shaped kitchen that could come straight out of a sharp sailing yacht will feel very safe in large waves. There are many cabinets present and there is a long countertop with the possibility to cook both electrically and on gas. Beautiful white double fresh sinks with a drainage section and a stainless steel swivel tap. There are 3 cabins with 2 times 2-person beds, in the front cabin 2 separate beds of which 1 is used, and the owner's cabin with a large double bed with a make-up table or small office/PC table. Both the front cabin and the owner's cabin have hanging closets. There is plenty of daylight and sufficient ventilation space throughout the entire boat. Everywhere there is sufficient headroom and there are well-closing doors. In the owner's cabin and in the front cabin, there are 2 separate bath/shower/toilet spaces. This boat is truly a beauty and must be seen by you. The nice and ever-popular option to choose between steering outside on top or inside is of course fantastic. You have a double helm station so you greatly extend your sailing season. With not too deep a draft, you also have a much larger sailing area. Together with 2 throttle levers and the powerful bow thruster, mooring and departing is child's play. Batteries from the brand Optima type Red Top have been installed in this boat, so super power. The enormous rear deck offers many possibilities for all kinds of activities. A wonderful terrace on the water. With the French sailing height (333 cm) you can sail straight through to the south of France. The owner has always taken great care of this boat and had a number of things done to the boat especially for the sale. A new antifouling layer applied to the bottom of the boat in a Caribbean color. The boat has also been treated inside and out by a professional cleaning company. The boat is now back in the water and if you would like a viewing, please call Pieter Pepping, your yacht broker from White Whale Yachtbrokers. 0653345219 or send an email: [email protected]
