More about the Barkas 13.50

We may offer you this well maintained and completely ready to sail Barkas 13.50. Also this 13.50 has the typical sturdy Barkas appearance and this ship can live up to it. Everything is very solidly built and many technical matters are almost on a professional level.

Of course also this Barkas has the characteristic large cockpit where you have access through folding doors to the ground floor saloon. The layout of these ships can vary somewhat depending on the wishes of the owner and this ship has the saloon and galley both "upstairs". So the kitchen prince or princess does not have to isolate himself in, say, the forecastle to prepare a meal and, always nice, while cooking there is a nice view outside thanks to the large windows all around. By the way, the positioning of the galley also makes it easy to grab a drink from the cockpit. Not unimportant.

Further into the saloon on the port side is plenty of storage space and the inside steering. Speaking of the steering, it is remarkable that the ship can be steered from the cockpit, inside the salon but also outside, in front of the ship. The engine, bow and stern thrusters and the rudder can be operated fully electrically in all three places. So good or bad weather, you will always find a comfortable place to steer the ship. And of course you can also leave the steering to the available autopilot.

On the starboard side in the saloon, next to the galley, you will find a comfortable round seat with a table in the middle. Here all crew can find a place for when the weather does not allow them to stay outside. Fortunately, there are also large windows here so from inside you also have a good view of the surroundings.

A small staircase leads from the saloon to the forecastle. At the bottom of the stairs there is a door on your left which gives access to the toilet room. Here you will also find the washing machine. On your right there are two doors. One leads to the wet room with sink and separate shower. The second door leads to the guest cabin. Finally, there is a door straight ahead which leads to the spacious owner's cabin. Here of course also a double bed and lots of storage space.

This Barkas 13.50 is well maintained and ready to sail for a new owner. This is of course a fine vessel for a nice day on the water or a weekend away. But for a longer stay on board this Barkas is also ideal. And if the weather on the way is not so good, you will still be warm thanks to the Kabola central heating system. Furthermore, the necessary navigation equipment including AIS and the previously mentioned washing machine are not lacking. There are two refrigerators, lots of storage space and a 3,000W inverter with a 10Kva generator so you can enjoy your trip completely self-sufficient. In short, this barque 13.50 is a very complete ship.
