The CHB 34 closely resembles the Grand Banks Classic series. The build quality certainly doesn't fall short, however the price is a lot more attractive. This particular vessel is in an exceptionally fine state of maintenance, both cosmetically and technically, and is fully European equipped with Volvo Penta engines and Vetus equipment. The characteristic Grand Banks lines stand out immediately. The vessel has a rugged appearance. The finish with plenty of beautifully varnished mahogany wood and the cork deck newly laid in 2000 accentuate the luxurious character of this vessel. The decks are very easy to walk on. Especially the enormous flybridge offers a wonderful spot while cruising but also in the harbor or at anchor. This flybridge not only has a cover, but also a bimini for extra protection against sun and rain. The interior is maintained just as beautifully as the exterior. The saloon is very cozy with plenty of teak wood. Equipped with an inside steering position, spacious galley, plenty of seating area and 2 double cabins. Both cabins have their own en-suite bathroom. The beds in the forward cabin are 215 cm long, in the aft cabin 185 cm (extendable if desired). There is a lot of storage space throughout the entire vessel. The owner has also made many nice and practical modifications such as built-in mosquito screens etc. The powerful Volvo Penta engines are well maintained. The engine room is a shining example of what an engine room should look like. And that after 34 years of sailing! Due to the dual engines, a bow thruster is not necessary, and has therefore not been installed. There is a Volvo heater present, however the current owner has never used it, so it should be inspected. All in all a very well maintained vessel.
