The Contrast 362 is a typical Scandinavian yacht, designed by Rolf Magnusson and built in Sweden at the Contrast Bator yard. The yacht is characterized by its low freeboard, beautiful finish both inside and out, and above-average sailing qualities. On board, the relatively spacious cockpit and the logical layout of the deck hardware stand out. This yacht was built to sail, that much is clear. The gangways are easily accessible, and unusually for a Scandinavian yacht of this age, the decks are not fitted with teak. This saves on maintenance and represents a significant cost saving in the long run. Inside the yacht, everything is beautifully finished with teak and mahogany, giving it a warm and nautical ambiance. The layout is remarkably practical, with a spacious galley to starboard and access to the wet cell. To port is the chart table and access to the aft cabin. Amidships, bench seating has been placed along the sides with a table in the middle. In the forepeak is the second cabin and plenty of storage space. The current owner invested heavily in the yacht in 2004 so that it is fully up-to-date again. At that time, a new mainsail was purchased, a compressor for the refrigerator, a complete set of NASA instruments, the entire electrical system was overhauled, and much more.
