Xyachts 412 Mk Ii Sold

The X-412 was designed by Niels Jeppesen, one of the three founders of the company. The X-yard calls the X-412 "the most beautiful, elegant X-Yacht ever" and the large number of boats they have sold proves that many sailors agree with them. The model was introduced in 1990 and updated to Mk II in 1994. She is "still going strong" and still looks fantastic today. The core values of the X yard are; quality in design, construction and equipment, and dedication to sailing performance both in terms of speed and comfort at sea. During construction, solid polyester is used around the keel, engine and rudder areas, E-glass/foam sandwich constructions in the hull and deck, and a galvanized steel frame provides structural support for rigging and keel loads. The mast is deck-stepped and the emphasis is on achieving a strong and stiff hull of moderate displacement. Weight is concentrated in the middle where possible for the sake of performance and pleasant behavior at sea. The boat we are now offering has many extras, including an advanced navigation system from 2004 with a connection for a laptop. There is a full set of sails from UK de Vries including two spinnakers with a carbon spinnaker pole. The Harken winches are all two-speed self-tailing. The boat has a comfortable three-cabin layout. The teak woodwork is of a very high standard and the quality both above and below deck contributes to the overall luxurious feel. The saloon has a large oval table with benches all around. To starboard are the galley and chart table. To port is a large bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The X-412 is still an attractive design for sailors who enjoy sporty sailing, but she also offers the possibility to cruise comfortably with family and friends.
