More about the Southerly 115

Looking for a special ship with a number of seemingly incompatible features? Look no further and take a look at this special Southerly 115. This big brother of the Southerly 105 also has the unique combination of inside and outside steering, the possibility of drying out, generous headroom inside the ship and good sailing characteristics. This English-built ship is of high quality and very practically laid out both inside and out. In addition, the owner has always neatly maintained the ship and renewed a lot where necessary, such as the standing and running rigging, sails, sprayhood and cover and equipment. This ship is ready for the new owner! Outside, the spacious aft deck naturally stands out, but also the safe and cozy cockpit. Thanks to the deck saloon and sprayhood, you will find plenty of shelter from the elements here. The decks are easily accessible and the foredeck is characterized by a lowering where the anchor winch is placed. With this lowering in the deck you have a firm and safe foothold. Inside the ship, the large windows all around stand out. These provide a lot of light in the ship, which, together with the generous headroom, makes it feel very spacious. To port you will find the galley and also the underdeck passage to the aft cabin. Here is a lot of storage space and a spacious double bed with a handy bench. Back in the galley, the keel construction naturally stands out. Here you can fully electrically raise the keel, which makes drying out possible. This keel construction is so heavily built that the ship is still very stable even with the keel raised. To starboard is the inside steering. This is of course ideal for continuing to sail regardless of the weather conditions. Amidships is the saloon with benches on both sides and a table to port that you can easily lower to create extra berths. In the fore ship is the second cabin with two single beds. Throughout the ship there is a lot of storage space, which makes it extremely suitable for a longer stay on board. Are you looking for a very seaworthy and comfortable ship with which you can easily dry out? Please feel free to contact us to make an appointment for a viewing on board this Southerly.
