The X-482 was designed by Niels Jeppesen, one of the three founders of the company. The boat we are offering you is hull number 1 of the model that was introduced in 1996. She is “still going strong” and still looks fantastic today. The core values of the X yard are: quality in design, construction and equipment, and a commitment to sailing performance, both in terms of speed and comfort at sea. During construction, solid polyester is used around the keel, engine and rudder areas, E-glass/foam sandwich constructions in the hull and deck, and a galvanized steel frame provides structural support for rigging and keel loads. The mast is deck-stepped and the emphasis is on achieving a strong and stiff hull of moderate displacement. The weight is concentrated in the middle wherever possible for the sake of performance and pleasant behavior at sea. The boat we are now offering has a number of extras, including latex mattresses with slatted bases, air conditioning and a converter for 220 volts. In addition, there are provisions to increase the range of the boat, such as extra diesel tanks and a watermaker. There is a complete set of sails from North, including spinnaker and genoa. The deck equipment is complete with a spinnaker pole and electric Harken winches. The boat has a comfortable three-cabin layout. The teak woodwork is of a very high standard, and the quality both above and below deck contributes to the overall feeling of luxury. The saloon has a large oval table with benches all around. To the left is the extensive galley. At the chart table you will find the necessary equipment. To starboard is the bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The owner's cabin in the bow is very spacious and has an en-suite bathroom of its own. The X-482 is still an attractive design for sailors who enjoy sporty sailing, but it also offers the possibility of comfortably cruising long distances with family and friends.
