Kolibri 950 Sold

The Kolibri 950 is a sporty yacht for somewhat larger waters with spacious accommodation. Below deck you will find standing height throughout the cabin. At the front of the yacht a double berth of Dutch length, with watertight compartments below available as storage space. Fresh air through the ventilation hatch. In the saloon 2 lengthwise benches where 6 adults can be seated. Between these a table with folding leaves and a bottle storage compartment. Of course easily accessible storage compartments. And under all gangways lockable cabinets.

 

On the starboard side the lengthwise navigation corner with chart storage compartment and enough space for instruments. Opposite this the galley with sink and gimballed oven/cooker and space for a cooler compartment. Next to the cabin entrance a large enclosed space for toilet and washbasin. In the aft section on the port side a double berth and on the starboard side spacious storage lockers.

 

This 950 has a wing keel and a top rig. The yacht is fitted with a through-hull rudder and an inboard diesel engine of 19 HP. Of course all sailing functions can be operated from the cockpit. All this makes the 950 a versatile yacht.

 

The hulls of the Kolibris consist of a laminate of hardwood veneer layers and 2-component synthetic resin glues. This whole is pressed under high pressure into a rigid hull. The weight of this skin, at equal strength, is about half that of polyester. The hull shell has a continuous laminated keel beam on the inside as its backbone. In the hull, the frames are glued, onto which a fixed double bottom plate is subsequently glued. The space underneath is preserved in advance with epoxy resins.
