Very fast, sharply cut cruiser/racer; very suitable for day races
Due to circumstances, this cruiser/racer, designed by Paul Elvström and Jan Kjaerulff, is now available. Approximately 30 Mosquito 104s were built. This type of boat is designed to sail at lightning speed in relatively light weather, and its basic design also helps keep the weight down.
The engine, mast, and rigging have all been replaced in recent years. The mast is long, which means the boat is a bit overpowered with this sail set. It offers plenty of speed in light air, but also requires a quick reefing in 4Bft. A set of Hagoort sails is also included (mainsail from 2015 and high-aspect jib). There is also an old genoa and a rarely used spinnaker. The furlex system was replaced in 2019.
Inside, from front to back, there's storage space in the bow, further aft are two settees, a small galley with an origo spirit stove, and the engine room with external steps. A single berth is located next to the steps, both port and starboard.
In the cockpit there is a seating area and an area for the helmsman.
