Spirit 32 Sold

This second-to-last Spirit 32 is not just any 32-footer. The first owner, shipyard owner Willem Tijssen, had this yacht built with the idea of making many long voyages with it. The hull was delivered in 1990, and over the course of two years it was expertly fitted out with teak at the yard itself. The deck is also finished with a thick layer of teak. The Proctor mast has two pairs of spreaders and extra thick dyform rigging. This mast, together with the boom and spinnaker pole, has recently been given a fresh double layer of powder coating. There is an extensive sail wardrobe, including two spinnakers (88 m2 and 72 m2) in a heavy-duty version for very rough conditions. All the lines required for this are made of Dyneema. There is a large genoa and a genoa with foam strips so that it retains its profile when partially furled. This yacht is suitable for sailing at sea for several days in a row. In 2008 the boat underwent a refit. Among other things, new self-tailing Harken winches were fitted. The rudder bearings were replaced with modern JP3 bearings. Since paint starts to chalk after 17 years, the yacht was completely stripped in 2008 and repainted by a professional painter with two-component paint (from De IJssel). In 2007 all the navigation equipment was replaced with Raymarine ST60 equipment and a C70 chartplotter. On various trips the boat has proven to be both fast and seaworthy.
