More about the Trintella Iv

Unrivaled as a sailing yacht for long voyages, this Trintella IV. The IV has a separate aft cabin with the entrance at the rear of the center cockpit. Many of these Trintella IVs, designed by E.G. van der Stadt, have been built, and the majority are still sailing thanks to their solid construction. This particular boat, with hull number 938, was fitted out at the Anne Wever shipyard in ’s-Hertogenbosch; the hull, like so many Trintella's, was built at the Tyler Mouldings shipyard in England. As soon as you step aboard, it is immediately clear that this is a boat that has been maintained with love and passion by the current owner. There is nothing to suggest that this is a boat with a long and rich history. The teak deck is in good condition, and the standing and running rigging are up to date. Stepping inside the almost midship-positioned cockpit, you'll notice that you can sit comfortably under the cockpit tent and enjoy what's happening outside, and even when it rains you can sail while sitting dry. This is certainly an advantage for longer voyages. Inside the saloon there is a cozy atmosphere; moving further forward you discover the sleeping quarters in the bow, with its own wet room with hot and cold running water and toilet. In the saloon is the galley with a 2-burner electric cooker, refrigerator and microwave. All electric; there is no (dangerous) gas on board. Via the cockpit you walk to the spacious aft section with the characteristic three aft windows. This aft cabin houses the double bed. Here too you have a wet room with toilet, a shower with hot and cold running water and plenty of storage space. The spacious engine room houses a proven engine model, a Perkins 4.236 Diesel with 72 hp. This engine is robust and has more than enough power to cover long distances relatively quickly, partly thanks to the 2 fuel tanks with a combined capacity of 600 liters. The water tanks also have a large capacity (approx. 500 liters). All in all, plenty of reasons to be able to make substantial voyages with this beautiful boat.
