More about the Launch Barkas Classic 850

BARKAS – A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE HANDY BOAT ENTHUSIAST

From €39,000 for only €20,000 – seize this opportunity and turn it into your own beautiful Barkas!

Sometimes a boat comes along where you think: there's an opportunity here.

This beautiful Barkas/launch is currently being offered for €39.000. However, upon closer inspection, it turned out that the underwater hull treatment needs to be addressed due to osmosis.

And that is exactly what makes this boat interesting for someone who is handy, can do the work themselves, or has a good shipyard at their disposal.

€20,000 DISCOUNT

We have deliberately chosen not to beat around the bush about this.

Instead of first having the boat professionally repaired for €10,000 and then raising the sales price, we are giving the buyer a €20,000 advantage.

The boat is therefore being offered for:

€ 20.000

This gives the buyer the option to carry out the work themselves or have it done at a very competitive price.

What needs to be done?

The underside of the hull needs to be thoroughly addressed. This includes, among other things:

  • fully sanding down the existing underwater layers;
  • letting the hull dry properly and preparing it;
  • rebuilding with fiberglass and epoxy;
  • apply multiple layers and sand carefully in between;
  • finish the hull smoothly and evenly;
  • then apply the correct primer build-up;
  • finish off with a professional antifouling.

It is definitely a big job. But for someone with experience, time and the right workspace, this can be a fantastic project.

WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?

Because you're not starting with an empty hull that still needs everything done to it.

You have here a complete Barkas/launch whose foundation is solid. The main investment now lies in labor and craftsmanship on the underwater hull.

Suppose you can carry out most of the work yourself.

Then you buy the boat for € 20.000 and then invest your own time, materials, and craftsmanship.

The result?

A beautiful Barkas that you can finish entirely to your own liking.

And above all: you have control over the quality of the repair yourself.

FOR THE HANDY BOAT ENTHUSIAST

Are you someone who likes to work with their hands?

Do you have experience with polyester, fiberglass and epoxy?

Do you have a workshop, warehouse or good location available?

Or do you know a craftsman who can carry out this kind of work for an attractive price?

Then this might be exactly the boat you've been looking for for years.

You can carry out the work step by step, rebuild the hull to a smooth finish and then complete it with a fully professional finish.

And once the work is done, you won't just have bought a beautiful boat.

You will have added value.

A PROJECT WITH POTENTIAL

A purchase price of € 20.000 gives you an enormous starting position.

Even if you still need to invest a significant amount in materials and labor, there remains room to end up with a very attractive boat.

And perhaps even more importantly:

you know exactly what has been done to it.

No unknown old layers under the antifouling, no half-hearted repairs and no question marks about the history of the underwater hull.

You simply rebuild it from scratch.

From the first sanding to the last layer of antifouling.

HONEST STORY, SHARP PRICE

We are therefore not selling this boat as a boat you don't need to do anything to.

Quite the opposite.

This is an opportunity for someone who dares to take on a project.

The osmosis treatment requires time, materials and craftsmanship. But precisely because we have lowered the selling price by €20,000, the decision lies entirely with the buyer.

€39,000 was the original asking price.

€20,000 is now the project price.

Anyone who can carry out the work themselves can make a particularly interesting purchase here.

WHO DARES?

Maybe you are the buyer who says:

"Just give me that boat. I'll take on that project."

Then soon you'll be able to sail with a Barkas that you've rebuilt and finished entirely with your own hands.

From €39,000 to €20,000.

€20,000 advantage for the buyer who dares to take on this challenge.

very beautiful classic and safe family boat, a terrace on the water

NOW reduced in price, new batteries, new wiring, cleaned fuel tank, major service, freshly polished.

Beautiful open launch with lovely engine and in very good condition!!!

Barkas Classic 850 the most beautiful.

Fortunately we once again have a beautiful open launch added to our offer. It is a fairly fast-sailing boat that is very stable. The engine has had a major service and the boat has undergone a particularly thorough polishing, including the interior bottom finished with a new layer of paint, plus a new antifouling layer with several coats of primer underneath. In short, completely ready for the new season. Striking are the beautiful lines of the boat once it is in the water. I have now sailed it myself and it sails fantastically.

At the back, the boat has a beautiful round seating area, a U-shape where you can comfortably relax with a group. The cushions are beautifully maintained and in a very neat condition.

Many cabinets and storage spaces have been built into the boat, sometimes even with beautiful classic curves. There are two large helm seats, fully in keeping with the style of the boat.

The dashboard has 6 brass gauges, including a really nice, clear rudder position indicator, so you can really see clearly how your rudder is positioned. The vessel handles well and behaves very calmly and relaxed. The powerful bow thruster can also be a great help when mooring and doesn't make much noise. The engine is of course very large and therefore nice and quiet, but powerful when needed. There is a turbo, so giving it some throttle is no problem at all; at 3600 rpm your boat really moves along briskly. There are various extras, such as very nice navigation lighting, but also a fairly large space in the front cabin, which of course provides wonderful storage.

What I personally think is that you can buy a new launch of 5.70 meters for the price of €20,000, while this model was previously offered for €39,500, so it is now attractively priced.
