The robust design and practical layout of ship are immediately noticeable as soon you lay your eye on this Excellent 1000. If you look closer you'll see that this ship is well thought out and perfect for a nice day out on the water but also very suitable for a longer stay on board. The bathing platform is spacious and can be accessed through a door in the stern. This make it also very easy get on and off the ship. The side decks are well accessible and at the foredeck a nice settee is made including a outlet to connect the autopilot so you can sail the ship while sitting up front. The cockpit floor is level with the saloon and when opening the large cockpit doors the saloon and cockpit feels like they are joined together which makes it a very spacious area to relax. Together with the like new cockpit tent and the Webasto heating outlet outside, this ship is much more spacious that initially thought. Inside the ship the well thought out design continuous. At portside is a lot of storage space and at starboard side the shipyard made a practical folding table. Further forwards is the compact but practical galley including hot and cold running water, a combi-oven, gas stove and of course a fridge. In the forward section is also the wet cell fitted with a shower and an electrical toilet. In the forepeak is a cabin with a two person bed and a lot of storage space can be found here as well. This Excellent 1000 is equipped with a 285hp Volvo Penta diesel engine so strong currents or making great distances is not a problem at all. And when you end up that cosy but small marina, the bow and stern thrusters will help you out with manoeuvring in tight quarters. Furthermore, a wash- and dry machine is fitted on board as well and together with the 3.000w Victron inverter, you are pretty much self-reliant. All in all, a very nice boat for a nice day out and longer voyages as well.
