More about the Van De Stadt 44

Very well maintained and ready to sail van de Stadt 44 offered for an interesting price. The van de Stadt designs company has a proven track record for well designed ships and their designs can be found in every corner of the world. That is for a good reason, van de Stadt is on the wish list of every long distance sailor and this van de Stadt 44 we offer is a very nice example why you want a ship like this. She is well build in Holland and has a practical layout inside and out. The cockpit is comfortable and spacious and offers protection against the elements when needed. The decks are wide for a safe walk around the ship and at the helm you have a good view at the surroundings. And just as an example how this ship makes your live more comfortable when sailing or manoeuvring; she is fitted with an autopilot, a bowthruster and an electric winch for hoisting the mainsail.

Inside the ship you see the same practical and no nonsense attitude of this ship. She is comfortable and cosy yet ready to handle some real rough weather. When going below deck, it seems that the ship is split up in sections. The first section you enter is the one with the galley, chart table and wet cell. All you need when travelling and things you want close at hand from the cockpit. Further forward is the living area with comfortable settees and a large table for the entire crew the sit and relax. In the forepeak is a guest cabin with double bed and ample storage space.

Then when we move towards the rear of the ship you come across the engine room in the centre of the ship. This room is surprisingly large for easy access to the engine when needed, houses most of the ships electronics and such, and there is even some space for a small workbench. In the aft section of the ship is the owners cabin, of course fitted with a double bed and over here a lot of storage space as well just you'll find throughout the entire ship.

All in all, this van de Stadt 44 is ready to sail and seemed to be build for eternity. For a nice day out on the water or for some serious long distance cruising, this is the ship you are looking for. A no nonsense yet comfortable ship ready to sail into a new adventure! Interested?
