More about the Finngulf 44
General description The Finngulf 44 is a genuine cruiser racer in the true sense of the word. It is a very spacious and stable family yacht with which one can safely make large crossings over open seas. There are sister ships that have done multiple circumnavigations and have done so brilliantly. In addition, the boat is very fast and very competitive compared to most boats in its class, even today on the various regatta courses. On deck the demanding sailors will find all he could ask for. The keel stepped, 7/8 fractionally rigged Selden mast has rod rigging and four pairs of spreaders. In order to trim both jib and cutter jib properly the mast is equipped with both running back and check stays. The sheets, halyards and trimlines are led to no less than 9 well placed Anderson Selftailing winches. A nice detail is the step before the mast, placed so to also protect two dorade vents. Deck and cockpit have beautiful teak, the cabin roof has a non-slip profile. From behind the large steering wheel one has most important controls immediately at hand so that shorthanded sailing is not very difficult. The cabin stairs leads into the lounge with directly right the spacious galley. This is equipped with a very robust Force10 oven / stove, a fridge and a freezer. The warmwater supply is combined with the Webasto radiator heating. This is much more effective than the usual hot air heating. This makes trips to colder places no problem. The salon has a large table with a large U-shaped sofa and a long bench. The teak carpentry has many beautiful details, such as cabinets with glass doors. There is a spacious navigation area with extensive equipment. Opposite the kitchen is a spacious bathroom with toilet and sink. The owner's cabin in the bow has a separate bathroom. The engine is simple and easily accessible through the removable stairs. All in all, this Finngulf 44 is an interesting yacht for the discerning sailor. Surprisingly spacious, remarkably fast and very seaworthy. The current owner has carefully maintained the boat and she is ready to sail, offering the next owner years of enjoyment on the water.
