More about the Beneteau Oceanis 400
The French Beneteau yard has a good reputation when it comes to designing and building spacious and comfortable sailing yachts. This Oceanis 400 is a good example of a family cruiser with both pleasant sailing qualities and lots living room. The design is timeless and essentially meets the requirements of the boat today. The cockpit is spacious and has a folding table with a storage box in the middle. From behind the wheel you have good visibility and control over the boat. At the helm, all navigation instruments including autopilot are within reach. On the bridge deck are four Lewmar selftailing winches where all sheets, halyards and trimming lines are lead. The sails of which the genoa has been renewed in 2004 are in good workable condition. In the anchor locker is a heavy model windlass so that the anchor can be hoisted with the press of a button. The stern has an integrated bathing platform with warm and cold water shower. The interior is finished with dark mahogany in contrast with the white plastic. The salon has a spacious and comfortable sitting area with modern white cushions and a large table in the middle. To port is a galley along with double sink, stove and very large cooler. The kitchen has plenty of storage for supplies. In the bow is a large double owner's cabin with its own wet cell, complete with large mirrors, a wash bowl and plenty of storage. In the aft are two large double cabins. On either side of the cabin you will find a large wet cell at the portside, and the navigation area at starboard side. The Perkins 50 Hp engine is easily accessible for service by the large removable hatches around. All in all, this Beneteau Oceanis 400 is a very successful design with many playful details. Inside really enjoyable to stay outside a desire to sail with. We invite you warmly for a visit in Medemblik. Please make an appointment via [email protected]?
