More about the Noordkaper 40

The Noordkaper 40 is a very robust and seaworthy Dutch quality yacht. The stage of completion meets the highest demands and on board you will find all the luxuries that make life onboard enjoyable. The boat was designed by M. Bekebrede and has the CE-A certificate and is therefore suitable for ocean crossings. With raised sword, the depth is only 1.25 and this makes also shallow waters accessible. This is a yacht with a great atmosphere. On one hand as tough she says; "no sea is too high for me, on the other hand, tasteful and refined. The deck is easily accessible with wide gangways which a stainless steel railing welded on. Thanks to the two component paint system the steel is very well conserved. At vital places such as the hawse hole is also a stainless steel cover on for extra protection. At the helm is the autopilot mounted to the switchboard for the hydraulically operated weighted sword and wadpoten, integrated into the fuselage. The autopilot can also be operated from the deckhouse so you have the choice to sit in the cockpit in fair weather, or to go inside in bad weather in the lee of the heated cabin search. The rig is modern and the sails from 2004 are easy to reef. The sails are on rollers so they can be quickly removed. The jib is self tacking. The advantage of the chosen rigging is that the sail point is low and that the choice of sails can be adapted to the circumstances. The teak interior has beautiful teak carpentry made with great craftsmanship. The wheelhouse is a great place to sit both under sail and in port with open views around. Right is the nav station with large GPS plotterscreen. Two steps down you enter the lounge. On the port side is the ownerscabin amidships with quality mattresses. Also to port is the galley with oven / microwave, refrigerator with freezer and drawers. On starboard is a spacious table with sofa and two chairs. Further in the ship is a separate toilet and shower head. In the bow is a 4 person cabin with a double bed and two top sleepers. Again quality mattresses in all cabins and air conditioning. This Noordkaper 40 was launched in 2004 after a construction period of approximately 18 months and is in perfect condition. The boat is completely ready to sail to any destination.
