The Delphia 28 is a surprisingly large and fast sailingyacht. The boat that we now offer has a centreboard and lifting rudder so the boat can dry out. This makes her very suitable for sailing in shallow waters such as the Waddenzee. As standard the Delphia 28 comes without engine but this boat has an inboard VolvoPenta12 horsepower diesel. The cockpit can comfortably accommodate 6 people and the boat is very easy to sail. The control lines and halyards are all led to the cockpit. Notable are the beautiful deck fittings such as bow fitting with anchor holder. The ballast is laminated in the bilge. The centreboard is not ballasted and therefore light and easy to operate. The interior is neat with mahogany woodwork. In the middle of the salon is the table on top of the centreboard cabinet. To port is a simple galley with Corian worktop, two burner gas stove and stainless steel sink. There is also a cooler with compressor. There are two double cabins. The front cabin space is lockable with two sliding doors. The bed in the aft cabin is located very low in order to maintain sufficient headroom. All in all, the Delphia 28 is a surprisingly well thought out design. The boat has a modern sporty look and excellent sailing characteristics. The ability to fall dry will appeal to many sailors.
